Any punters clocking off the early shift or otherwise capable of surreptitiously getting stuck in to the televised football this afternoon have a double dose of fierce African World Cup qualifying competition for their edification thanks to BT Sport and the 3/1 double on Algeria and Egypt victories is the bet to be on.

New bwin.com customers receive an emboldening £20 free bet on joining, which would yield £21 of cream if used to back the latter to gain victorious revenge for a 6-1 first-leg humbling at the hands of Ghana.

Egypt won all six of their first round games in CAF qualifying and were the highest scorers in the group stage.

The Pharoes’ humbling in Accra was one of the most shocking international results in recent history and the restoration of national pride will be high on the agenda for Michael Bradley’s side.

Having scored eight times during their last two games in Group G there’s undoubtedly goals in the hosts and they’ll be aiming to leave everything on the pitch in Cairo.

Algeria beat Burkina Faso in a home friendly match in Blida as recently as June this year.

The visitors may have reached the 2013 African Cup of Nations final, but they were still seen off comfortably thanks to goals either side of half-time when they last visited the Fennec Lions.

Ghana have won just two of their last seven away games, while Burkina Faso have scored just once in their last three.

Both of the outfits looking to close out qualification in the very lairs of their rivals do so in less than heartening road form.

The Burkinabe have been beaten on their last three away days, including a 1-0 reverse to lowly Botswana.

Meanwhile the Black Stars were turned over by Japan and Libya in their last two matches away from the comforts of home and will struggle to match the Egyptians for motivation, with the mental crutch of a five-goal cushion impossible to ignore.
